JOIN US

The Newnan Junior Service League (NJSL) is a dynamic organization of women committed to volunteerism and strengthening our community. Since our inception one hundred years ago, we have served as a pillar of our community and we remain steadfastly committed to our mission: to cultivate the potential of women as community leaders, promote volunteerism, and improve the lives of women, children, and families in Coweta County, Georgia.

Impact

Membership in NJSL offers women the opportunity to engage in service projects and volunteer programming that makes a direct and meaningful difference in our community. Our community-wide annual Can-A-Thon stocks the Coweta Community food pantry for an entire year and Christmas in Newnan provides Christmas gifts to children in foster care. Our signature fundraising events, including Mardi Gras Casino Night, Legends of the League Golf Tournament, and our Clay Shoot raises tens of thousands of dollars to support scholarships for local high school seniors and crucial grants for community organizations.

COMMUNITY

At its core, NJSL is about building connections, both with community partners and with a group of extraordinary women who are leaders in their communities, their workplaces, and their homes. The strength of our organization lies largely in the bonds we forge with each other and fostering an organization where women come together to support, inspire, and learn from one another. Members are invited to monthly meetings, NJSL fundraising events, member-only interest groups, and exclusive specialty events so you can enjoy catching up with old friends and making new ones.

Leadership Development

The NJSL is deeply committed to the professional development of its members and equipping women with the skills, experience, and networks they need to become leaders in their communities. Through service in leadership roles, members develop skills in project management, strategic planning, public speaking, marketing, and public relations. They’re also provided with opportunities to connect with and learn from community leaders and partners doing critical work in Coweta County.

If you are someone who is looking for a way to serve, develop new skills, and become a catalyst for change in your community, we would love to welcome you!
